This app was developed to aid those who wish to use the buttonless casting technique as described in the textbook “Introduction to Metal~Ceramic Technology.”
Who is this app designed for? Dental lab technicians, dental students, prosthodontists, graduate students/residents and anyone who does dental castings for complete or partial metal crowns and metal~ceramic (PFM) restorations.
The app converts the weight (in grams) of your wax pattern to the number of pennyweights (dwt) and grams of dental alloy needed for a casting based on the alloy's density and in accordance with the buttonless casting technique.
Special Features:
1. Default densities for High-Noble, Noble, and Predominantly Base Alloys
2. Custom option alloys users to enter the actual density of the alloy being cast.
3. Also includes a temperature converter (Fahrenheit/Celsius)
